996 turbo clunk & groan
Discussion
Had a few bits done last month
Front top mounts, coffin arms, rear shocks and pads and discs all round, along with a new rad and a diff. gasket
I've noticed after pulling out of the drive after 200 yards or so, it's making a groaning/clunk from the rear, then after another 20 yards it's sounding like it's pinging and something is releasing itself.
As soon as it's happened, you don't hear it again until the next cold start.
Cars not pulling to the side or making any untoward sounds otherwise
Any suspicions?

Are you parking it up with the handbrake on after washing it? Mine used to stick if I forgot and parked it for a while. (It was in a garage with a flat floor, so never actually needed the brake on, just left it in gear.)
Agree with Digga, mine does exactly this if you don't dry the brakes off (via a quick spin) after washing. Gassing Station | 911/Carrera GT | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
