imo the GTS is a far better car and spending £10k on a brand new car voiding any warranty seems daft

as 90% of these will be on PCP then no one will be able to mod them any way , they don't own them.

in 4 years time like a few cars if they are £45k they might be nice buy and a mod but then you don't want to spend £10k on a £40k car by then

So to sum up buy a GTS :-) it s win for power, win for warranty, win for resale.

£5604 for a engine management software upgrade and back box scratchchin. If you're going to fk the warranty won't DMS do it cheaper? I can't see the point of it - buy a GTS. Looks pretty sorted with suspension drop but depends how it rides, and how it rides over speed humps etc.

2 out of 10.

I read it this afternoon, and based on this review i must say i'm extremely impressed..Whether or not it makes sense over buying an OEM GTS is a moot point, as someone who already has a nicely specced T ie LWBS, T interior and RAS this mod will turn it into a monster..
It absolutely needs PCCBs as the rather puny 330mm steels will cook in no time with 480BHP..

It's 1194 for the remap alone up to 454 bhp. There are various permutations depending on how you want to go with the exhaust.

I think the ecu upgrade and back box in isolation is tad on the pricey side. The changes to the suspension geometry on this should make it much more usable than a standard DMS upgrade and it's a pretty rare sight as well.

I think it’s cool to have an option but it’s not a smart spend unless you already have PCCB because you are going to need more brakes with that kind of power and chassis tweak.

At that point you’re better of starting with an S or having just bought a GTS in the first place.

Could be a nice sleeper though for someone that wants something different/personal.

Precisely and per my previous post only worth doing if the T was the perfect spec..Lightweight glass, sans glassroof, LWBS,RAS, PCCBs and the must have Manual..
In that ideal spec along with the full Litchield package then the perfect long term keeper 991, where residuals don't really matter..

When prices soften and cars are out of warranty IMHO better prospect than a GTS if you wanted a narrow body 911 and no centre locks. Could be a good idea to do this to a base 991.2 as a project but as said brakes would need upgrading !

Yep.... maybe a cool thing for down the line.

I think we need to see how strong these 3.0 engines are first. Maybe just me being overly cautious but I've never been a huge fan of (performance) modding outside of manufacturers settings. Nothing wrong with fettling with suspension, exhaust etc, but engine management... not sure.

I'd agree if we were talking something more highly strung but the 't' is crippled out of the box, the same engine puts out 450PS in the GTS which is itself crippled so it doesn't embarrass GT3's. Litchfield's tune looks reasonably conservative to me ")
