Evening - appreciate thoughts/comments on this... I’ve got a 991.1 GTS that I’ve owned for 2.5 years. It’s not my main car and has 6500 miles on the clock - I love the car, pic below (colour, spec, noise) - best car I’ve had.

The downside is it doesn’t get used much (wife is happier in comfort and I am fairly protective when parking / leaving it!), we just refurbed the house and although I managed to resist the temptation to take the cash out the car it has been considered a few times. The original warranty expires in November so will need to sort that... I find myself teetering on keep or get rid - if I get rid I’ll wait 6-12 months and get another GTS of some sort.

991.1 GTS values seem fairly stable at the moment (?) - any thoughts on sticking or twisting now?

I had a 991.1 GTS for a couple of years, then swapped for a 991.2 GT3 a year ago. The 991.1 GTS is a fabulous car, and the sweet spot of the 991 range. It is *much* better, in my view, than the 991.2 GTS, which lost much of the visceral character of the 991.1 due to the switch to turbocharging. Unless you desperately need the cash, I’d hold on to your 991.1 GTS. Other than the GT3 it’s the last of its kind: a magnificent swan song for naturally aspirated 911s. Sure the GT3 is one big step up again in terms of involvement - but it’s barely usable as an everyday car. So keep the GTS. And enjoy it.

Looks like a keeper to me. I’ve had mine 6 months and absolutely love it. Found the gen 2 slightly less involving when I was doing my back to back test drives, and not regretted going for the “older” model for one second. To top it all, I was in an OPC a couple of weeks back looking at a 718 Cayman GTS for a mate and got offered £5k more than I paid for it by the dealer who wanted it for stock !
