I found my PCCB's did need warming up in a morning ... particularly if there was any contamination form a car wash or other cleaner ...
Also if not driven for a while it felt like the laminate disc absorbed moisture which needed to dried out of the surface.
I now have Surface Transfer solid long fibre carbon discs which for me, are utterly amazing. Like metal .. but weighing as little as carbon.
They have saved me a small fortune in brake pads .... but it does take a while to bed-in a new set of pads because they run so cool with so little wear ...

Prefer ceramics.
Use ST solid construction discs on my 996 GT2, original PCCBs safely tucked away for posterity.
My 997 turbo came with steel discs, but a local Indy retro fitted a set of 997 PCCBs so I could enjoy the advantages. Will probably put steels back on when selling the turbo to keep it original spec, and offer the PCCB kit should someone else wish to step up their car’s spec.
