2011 GTS At 62000 miles with full OPC service history....
What are thoughts on using somebody like Paragon for the next service vs OPC.
The car has non standard battery and H&S bypass so I am not concerned about warranty etc.

If you’re out of goodwill and aren’t renewing warranty take it to the cheapest place you trust

Thanks Jake. I was wondering if people consider a full OPC service history important versus a specialist. I have used specialists in the past as I often find they look after the car better but this is my first time with Porsche. I used 9e to do an interim oil change/service and now live close to Paragon so just looking for advice.....

Unless you care about warranty OPC service is pointless.

I would never service my 997.2 GT3 at OPC. They have no idea what they are doing.

And you will probably get a much better service at an independent, there are many very good indies to chose from, the one i use have a superb reputation and presence on line, have also been recommended by a couple acquaintances. If you are not renewing Pwarranty then save some money

For unbolt and bolt back on stuff, I use my local MOT place. Who happens to have an OPC mechanic in on Saturdays for any tricky bits. They did the front rad and aircon compressors in the past 3 months, very happy with the care they took.

I'll still use an OPC for the twice yearly service to get the stamps in the book, and anything related to the oily bits/suspension. When I eventually sell my 997.1.5 Turbo, I want the uber Porsche geeks to be focused on "FOPCSH" and willing to pay premium for a never-abused, very nearly the last one ever made, Mezger engine. And no, that won't happen any time soon. I either need to be incapable of getting in the car, or leaving the country.
