Predictions for the 992 TTS
Discussion
I gather the TTS will be out in 2020. Any predictions/rumours about what it will bring to the table. More power goes without saying but what else?
If memory serves the TTS often show cased some of Porsches newest innovations like active engine mounts, 4ws etc.
So will we see anything new and exciting in the TTS? And what about price? A significant increase to see it well and truly into Ferrari/Lambo territory?

Not sure they can do much more with the 911 turbo. Hybrid? Manual? More sensors on dampers? 50bhp won't make any meaningful difference to how fast it is.
This. I think the concept of the turbo has run its course now. I suspect it’s going to be a testbed from now on for new technology. The turbo can no longer keep up with the ever-increasing release of hypercars, and nor should it try. My prediction is it’ll get faster and more comfy and leave behind its more visceral ancestry. Presumably this will involve hybrid technology in spadefuls. I would expect to see some of the lesson learned on the 2RS finding its way on to the TTS. The 2RS already has better C02 rating than the 40 N/A so don't see any problem's with this 3.8. Around 630 with 650 bhp for the S would be nice, with say a faster Map on the PDK, and maybe a bit more active aero. Bit more track bias tyre, maybe the N2 Cups as an option.
imho

All the 992s will be capable of going hybrid but from what I've read that will happen in a few years time probably on the midlife revamp; but TT might get it before others to really showcase what the technology is capable of.
A tad more involving would be nice. I have the 991 TTS and I wouldn't swap it for any other everyday car in the world. However I sometimes wish it was just slightly more visceral.
Not too much though lol, otherwise it will lose it's everyday, all weather GT come supercar status.
What do we think about price? A big jump or a few £1000?
Edited to say ; I read somewhere that all 992s will be wide bodied. Does that mean that the TT will have the same rear width as a 2wd 992 carrera??

Maybe speak to 9e. They have just released a 740 PS power kit for 991 turbo. Expensive but more power than a GT2 RS A tad more involving would be nice. I have the 991 TTS and I wouldn't swap it for any other everyday car in the world. However I sometimes wish it was just slightly more visceral.

When i was at my OPC at the end of last week they had more people with names down for the Turbo S than orders for a Carrera S! They’ve also been told by Porsche GB they can take deposits....against recent policy but I guess OPC’s aren’t very happy at the moment!
There was an article in something like Total 911 a few months ago which was an interview with Porsche’s CEO. He said at the time the first hybrid 911 will be 992.2 and will be the most powerful 911 ever...so a bit like top end Panny is the Turbo S E-Hybrid I am guessing...so probably will sit above the Turbo S I think.

Sorry, but I don't understand. I was asking about the 992 Turbo S, what's that got to do with modifying a 991?
