The .2 RS is a stiff car , but that is the way it should be with a modern RS .Uncompromising is not really that bad a word ..... better than compliant or easy ...for an RS .
I know it is only EVO , but nice comment it you do not mind it being that way

I know it was on Cup2 R's but that was the same time as the Pista ( without bringing 100 k worth of tyres and rims ) , shame they must have rooted the tyres by the time Autocar got to it they went 3.5 secs slower ....Steve Rance said it , it needs to be a bit "uncompromising "

for the track yes, RS had to move the game on , and they have ,the ring time from a NA 520bhp is amazing.

for a road car, manual wins every time for me, just more to do and enjoyable. I have CUP moonball bits and Ti exhaust like an RS but with a manual Shift, win win for me.

yes I think my knee won't last forever, it gives me hassle now :-( . might go auto for the daily next time, M4 CS maybe or a Alfa Quad****io thing.

But my GT3 is amazing and does feel pretty hard core really. I would own a 997.2 RS if my knee would take that bloody clutch.

Every one saying the Clutch is too light in this new car, it's a godsend after a million miles in the seat.

Manual , monoball parts and and Ti exhaust, i don't think anyone knew you've got that spec! Sounds great !

Do you prefer that to a pdk RS?

What would make it perfect is if the seats could be heated and some access to the back of the car, something where you can allow the buckets seats to fold forwards or something . That would really be the best of both worlds.....

You get a really rough ride on here a lot of the time R, but FFS!!!

When the 64 RS came out , it was rated the worst Porsche ever by most of the journalists , and it was truly uncompromising . But we grew to really love them because of exactly that .

I prefer a manual to any PDK car for fun use. Hence I made a manual RS type of car which is just harder to drive, and for me more enjoyable due to that, and how ever you want to play it, heated seats are really nice, don't let them upset up so much :-)

I am unsure why people keep their oem cars to be fair, hence I post what can be done to these cars to heighten the enjoyment because every thing is done to a price and things can be made better.

how is it 'uncompromising' in anyone's world other than with a generous dose of journalistic licence? it's got modern amenties (or options that allow one to do so) that almost every other modern Porsche has and I have to admit I hesitate to call any car with a full leather interior that resembles that of a Panamera, air con, nav/stereo, front lifter et al 'uncompromising' even if it might be a tad noisier than the 'standard' 911 and firmer ride than one might perhaps be used to (which itself is somewhat less of an issue with modern damping that allows an amazingly decent ride despite being able to cope on track).

You know what... even though I have just spec’d and deposited on the new 992 C4s I can’t help but feel the 991 .2RS is going to be the last proper 911, and I’m very pleased I have the pleasure of owning one.

Agree Isaldri , did about 70k miles in a 64 RS that did not even have a stereo .....but older now , and like all that stuff and a softer ride in auto in the traffic .. it is all relative

I think the view point on that comment is based on how soft GT cars have been of late. The 991.2 RS is REALLY stiff. To be honest i thought the 991.1 RS was a little soft, so there is an argument that this is the car we should have had all along, and fwiw I adore the 996 RS and 964 RS, but it's clear todays buyer thinks differently.
