Ideas or advice for best way to get Brembo calipers refurbed? They need new seals (could do myself) but also fresh powdercoating and Brembo logo added back on.

Seen a few companies online but no experience of using them, ideally would like somewhere local I could take them to rather than headache/cost of postage etc

Anyone had theirs refurbished in London area?

Not myself I leave my Indy to liaise with them. They're the best in London according to them.

I used pro calipers. Not particularly cheap but a reasonably good job.
From what I've seen, brakecaliperrefurbs do a similar job.

I use pro-calipers for all the stty annoying jobs like broken bleeding nipples, stripped threads and seized cross-over pipes. Also had a set of Big Reds powdercoated and re-sealed. Superb service all round and decent pricing.

Shouldn’t be expensive to get a set of 6 pots refurbed.

Try these guys :

https://www.bcs-automotive.co.uk/brake-caliper-ref...

I've had mixed experiences with them, they did a set of 964 RS calipers and a set of six pot Mk2 GT3 calipers for me, both were done quickly and were absolutely perfect (and NOT expensive)
However a couple of years ago I sent them a pair of sliding calipers off a BMW and they were a complete fiasco to deal with. They appeared to be becoming victims of their own success. Hopefully they've got their sh*t together again.

I would go with Pro-Calipers.

Similar to Slippy I had a set of 964 calipers done by BCS, quality was good in the end but they had to redo one a caliper as it has grit in the paint. The whole process was painful, no communication, lots of stories on why they were not completed and why the quality was not where it should have been, it took an age!

You also need to confirm what seals and hardware are being used, Brembo seals, nipples etc are significantly more expensive than aftermarket and this has a big influence on the final cost.

When I get my next set done, they will be going to Pro-Calipers, yes it will cost more, but based on the service I have received from Thomas on the other items I have purchased, it will be worth it.

Avoid these people in Long Eaton, I have found 51 faults with 4 calipers I sent them and they insist on sending them back???
for rectification !!! No Way
They are also refusing to refund the 850 pound I paid them !!!

Deal with them at your peril

Bizzarely a few years ago I went for an interview there (admittedly in their old premises) I had a tour around the premises and was pleasantly surprised with what I saw.

Until they showed me their paint oven, which was a wooden box with an electric fan heater in it yikesyikes
Thought that was a bit st to be honest.

Whats wrong with that? They say they will sort them out if you send them back, but you want £850 back?confused

I think it is fair to assume that if the OP found 50 faults with something as simple as a pair of brake calipers, perhaps he doesn't trust them to rectify the faults and just wants his money back?
