Take a close up look at the door sills, that's had a very hard life

The sills should be black plastic, someone has painted them white, expect their peeling hence what your seeing.
Did wonder why it looked wrong and it because there's no black sills

That’s one hell of a mark up, they haven’t even made the effort to present it that well!

Painted sill listed as a factory option on the Silverstone site.

As well as the more subtle decal-free look, the car's specification is very discerning, including Sport Chrono Pack (639), Safety Cage in black (595), Schroth harness driver (807), Carbon Package (EZA), Extended carbon package (EZB), Bi-Xenon lighting system (P74), Carbon door entry guards (X69), Carbon rear centre console (XMJ), Sill covers painted (XAJ), Carbon dashboard trim (XGB), and Battery disconnect switch (199).

Sorry ... was are you all talking about?

it says in the description that the carbon sill and the inner sill have been wrapped in PPF - this will be specifically to protect against damage... (or maybe to prevent more.)

The above is to protect the door sills and stops them from scratch marks when people get in and out. I was referring to the black sill guards which are normally on a RS car and run from the front wheels to rear wheel. Which on this car are white and makes I look like a GT3. It appears from the post above that it was an option to have them colour coded. It’s a personal choice but I prefer the contrast of the black.

I'd call what you're describing the 'side skirt'.

Me too. You look around at what other 997.1 GT3 RS's sell for and it did seem a very keen price.

A plain old 997.1 GT3, if low mileage and clubsport, is in the £80-90k bracket.

If it is the same as the widebody 996 then it is just plastic.

It wasn’t cheap, it sold at what the market dictated at time. It was a sensible buy at the time for 106k as you could run it for two years and get out with a sensible level of depreciation. To buy it at 140k and then sell after two years use and about 10k miles would cost you around 55k in depreciation at that level.

Sellers dreaming and just chancing it, two years late to the party imo.

Most 997 gt3 and gt3 rs cars have been for sale for over a year and are being reduced in price over time. The lovely pts 997.2 gt3 club sport has just had £5k taken off it. When it popped up I made an enquiry on interest, they said they had a buyer ready at £115k... clearly not as it’s still for sale and that was a month ago.

Ditto!

Every single car I have offered on has recently, has already received offers of the asking price...

Strange that the car isn’t being repolished ready for collection.....

The usual line is that they are waiting for finance or have a part exchange....

Surprised that this type of bluff is used to try and get someone to buy this type of car....

the auction was late February, how much do you think an 8,000 mile gt3 rs is worth now? £95,000 or something ?
