I met him at a Porsche Club Championship and GT3 Cup race day at Croft ... he turned up in a Mercedes SLS which he was very happy to show us ... yes, I'd like him to do very well.

And a very good driver smile !

Though he has plenty of time and opportunity to play ( ... in my dreams one day !)

Awesome!

This is Chris Harris at his best. Enjoyed the interview with Lars Kern too. Big respect for that record 'ring lap.

@6:32 biggrin

Mega and just what we should be talking about on here.

A joy to behold and no mention of value or carbon mirrors.

Happy days.

For me, Portimao is the best track in Europe. To drive flat out through the compression with a cat that is that quick takes some balls (and aero).

Agree it’s a fantastic circuit that I’ve really fallen for, and going through the compression with brisk pussy Is even better, sticky fingers and all.

Heavily dependent on the lion you take through the corners though JC.

Agreed. Bloody brilliant. Chris is a great guy. Would need a group buy on tyres though

€77,244 in Germany (approx. £70,000). Add the magnesium wheels and you’re looking at €95,094 (£85,000)

€90k for the MR package is nuts. The key part of the whole thing imo are the KWs and setup. Those used to be priced at something like €10k iirc for the 991rs MR package. Ok mag wheels are expensive so fair enough, another €~20k. €60k for some cf aero addons...? That's Manthey/Porsche trying to get on the whole overs thing by pricing it at what they think they can get away with.

You may be right but isn't much of the price down to development costs and testing for what is a very niche product?

I have the full Manthey/KW set-up on my GT2RS, and the brake pads/lines, but not the aero which was developed later.
Pricing was similar to what you say, and I’m very unlikely to want to pay the differential for the aero, even if it would be nice to complete the package.
