Evening all.

Having previously owned a 6 and a 7 Gt2 and failing to get an official allocation on an RS I really fancy getting into one. The only issue I have is when they were first released they were trading around the £500k mark, then £450, £400 and the last time I checked £360ish.

I know it's still significantly over list but there's never that many for sale so it's not a supply and demand issue - would anyone care to shed some light on why they're not holding money and where we might expect them to settle?

I appreciate no one has a crystal ball but others that have followed the trend of recent GT cars and where the markets sit may be able to offer some insight on where the market is heading in terms of these.

Thanks in advance!

As you know, the market has softened and will probably continue to soften. I reckon the 991GT2RS will head closer to £300k mark by end of year and float around the 300k level. This time next year they may begin with a 2.

I'd probably be inclined to look for a LHD car, and then make a visit to Manthey... the premiums on RHD cars make no sense to me, and didn't I read somewhere that the GT2 RS wasn't a limited production run car (correct me if I am wrong) ?

Its not a ltd production, they have just rebooted it for the sunken cars.
I missed a nice one at £330,the one in the link i have looked at approx 315 into the uk,its new but a c17 car and you need to understand chinese to listen to the radiosmile
The uk cars asking 400 are going to be sat around a long time,to heavy on the money and car.

I think it could make a very interesting project car at sensible money, makes are old 993gt2 a bit slow today. No doubt a lot more economical as well, the street version was thirsty enough,i remember never spending so much at the spa fuel station when raceing the old gt2r,it was doing a lap a gallon!
I dont think they look that great, but big respect how fast it was in a straight line at donnington.

Just got back from Spa and the 991GT2RS there was in a different league to anything else on track. There were some quick cars, some driven slowly radical RCX (I’m guessing), others pushed very hard - GT3RS, v8 Atoms, fettled Nissan GTRs etc. The 2 just disappeared, I was braking for Fagnes in a GT4 as the 2 was in the middle of Pouhon, he caught me before I exited Fagnes, just stunning pace.

If you have the chance, just do it.

Yep, he certainly can. I clocked him doing a 2.42 lap which is serious pace in track day traffic. thumbup

The had two GT2s (looked like both in for service) at OPC Wolves yesterday when I picked my car up. The service manager was explaining how the mag wheels cannot be repaired and cost £10k each... yikes

Stunning cars though.
