What’s the thoughts on this, it’s dropped £4K in two weeks.

Racing yellow
C4S
Powerkit 430hp
Manual
PCCB
Sport Chrono
PSE
39k miles

Need to go and view it in the flesh but as it would be a second car and garaged, I’m turning to the colour but is it too shouty and if I ever sold it, would I be stuffed at resale ?

You wouldn't be stuffed but Racing Yellow is hard work on Porsche GTs never mind Carreras.

Nice spec car but looks expensive imo.

That’s what I’m also thinking about the colour.

What makes you think it’s expensive (it’s now £60k but hasn’t been updated on opc site) I can’t find a cheaper 991 C4S coupe on AT

I would try a cheeky bid reflecting colour.

Also the ceramics are not worth much over the steels on a C4S as most want steels due to the high on going maintenance costs of Pccbs. Unless you really want them for other advantages such as less unspring weight.

Funny, I get nothing but compliments on my RY GT3 so not sure how you've come to that conclusion.

Don't doubt it Fred as we all know GT3s always receive attention some good some bad whatever the colour but we are talking about the RY on this C4S which from a resale perspective is not the best.

Same as my RY 991.2GT3, everybody compliments it and says it really suits the car..However i agree with AV that its a disaster for resale on a standard 991.

Anecdotally, I was desperate for a RY 981 when I was looking, and almost got one but 24 hrs on mulling over the spec saw another deposit come in. Ended up with a white one, and it looks fine but just long after a yellow one.

Well priced too 911 that one too. I'd buy it if I were in the market for a tin top.

Unique spec car that which is not an easy sale IMHO. I’d say most people that want a 4 want it because it’s a daily driver and will be used in the winter/wet (it’s really the only trading to get a 4 IMHO)....and for a daily driver most people want PDK. Agree that PCCB isn’t worth bugger all on a Carrera and definitely will put people off, especially as the miles creep up. Powertkit is a bug plus as it’s very rare but then RY on a Carrera is a tough sell......GT cars wear the bright colours so much better. I’ve got a Lava Orange GT3 (which is one of the least popular colours but I like it)....,would never order it on a Carrera though, it’s a bit “trying too hard”.

Agreed.

I ordered my Carrera T in yellow - it was the launch model and the pictures of it sucked me in. I do like it, and it suits my use of the car for high days and holidays perfectly but I wouldn't spec it on a daily driver as it is a bit "look at me".

The other point is, if you like going to car shows or drives in the countryside, a parked yellow car attracts loads and loads of flies - I have no idea why, but they definitely do!

This is too confusing. Where are Taffy60 - 65 and do they have RY GT3s as well?

Taffy (66) I saw yours at Oulton and it’s beautiful. In fact I prefer Racing Yellow to Speed Yellow; to my eyes RY is more vibrant than Speed which always seems a bit ‘faded’ to me. Speed Yellow photographs well though.

Looks lovely, shame no heated seats which make it cosy in the winter.

A manual yellow 911 or a PDK red one... decisions!

Sounds like the perfect spec to me.....Powerkit and PCCBs would have been c. £15k, are nice options to have, and make the car quite rare. I also like that it doesn't have a sunroof, 18 way seats, and Bose etc which just makes it heavier...;)
