is there any difference between the version that porsche sell you vs what you can buy elsewhere? is the oe one stamped with a porsche part number and would this be the correct part 99780303790

Belt webbing should be the same… just might be the end attachments that are different vs a factory provided kit which will be specific for fitted to factory mounting points.

Are you just replacing the harness?

I don't think that's the right part number. The key to the 997 belts is the lap belt bracket. It's not the triangular shaped one.
