991 CS depreciation / 997 Turbo
Discussion
Thinking about dipping back into 911 territory for a year or so before planned kids.....budget in the £50s.
What’s the current depreciation curve on early 991 CS? Alternative may be 997 TT or even an R8 V10 that have flattened out if 991s are still falling more that a 3-4K pa.
Cheers

I've been watching depreciation on mine - 2014 C2 - and in the 3 years I've had it, I reckon 1,500 per year depreciation average - being a gen 1 991 it's last of the NA cars and they seem to be holding their values pretty well. better than the gen 2 cars so far I think. They seem to be flattening out now - values less age dependent and more spec & miles now. mine is good spec and low miles so holding well.
sales asking prices for good examples are slowly going up. average prices are currently about 3k a year drop - better cars dropping less, worse ones (some very high milers out there) dropping a lot more.
it's a matter of personal choice really - but things that sell well seem to be - darker metallic colours, pdk, leather interiors (full was an expensive option), satnav (depending on model year some might not have had it - but think all 991's do), cruise control, sport chrono, sports exhaust, sport design steering wheel (the thumb-button type is awful). park assist. some other things you may want that the market in general is less fussed about probably - but those are the main ones I can see. probably missed a few though.
things that sell less well - bright or custom colours, voice control (not many seem to use it), rear wiper, lighting, body kits, non-porsche mods, non-specialist service history.
worth mentioning that quite a lot of options can be added after purchase by OPC - specifically sport chrono, sports exhaust, sport design steering wheel. cruise control and various internal and external trim. obviously adds to cost - but means you don't have to exclude cars from your shortlist if only missing a few easily added options.
