HI Folks:

Driving down the M11 last night at 70mph, as I started to coast I took my foot off the accelerator and the engine cut out - a bit like the "stop/start" effect (grrrr) rolling to traffic lights, only at speed...and the dash lit up with most if not all coloured warnings. I managed to roll across to the hard shoulder and as I came to stop I depressed the brake and the problem went away and I was able to continue my journey...Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone have an explanation please?

Check that the battery terminals are tight and clean as a first step.

After that I'd guess a diagnostic would be the next easiest thing.

All tight and ship-shape ;-(

In for diagnostics on 20th, so hopefully it will show up then and I will report back for everyone's reference...

When a car starts doing that if they can't find a fault time to chop it in. Awful experience. I'd have had kittens
