Hi
Would anybody have access to the standard spec of the 991.1 Turbo (non S) when it was released?

I'm trying to figure out whether I should get on and order a C4S or hold out for the Turbo. I have the Turbo S at the moment but would be more than happy with a new model Turbo.

I'm speccing up the C4S to about £123k (inc pccbs, Burmester etc)

I'm trying to figure out if the Turbo would come with some extra spec which I would have chosen anyway and how much more I would end up spending on a Turbo with my chosen spec.

Potential 'savings' I can see are

1) No front sport design apron needed to clean up the front

2) Nicer wheels as standard

3) No sports exhaust option so no temptation to tick it lol

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks

Why anyone would spend an extra 3k+ for the Audio upgrade is beyond me. The road noise in any model 911 makes it a complete waste of money. Unless you think it will add to resale value?

As regards your original question, I’m not sure what you are asking. Is this in relation to ordering a 992? And why the 991.1 Turbo spec and not the 991.2?

You might think that £3k for audio is a waste of money but I have it on my current car and love it. Despite the road noise the Burmester sounds fantastic and makes every journey far more enjoyable; certainly more enjoyable than coloured seat belts, coloured dials, alacantara headlining etc. We all like what we like.

My question is in relation to ordering the 992 Turbo, but as its not released I'm asking about the standard spec of the 991 Turbo to get an idea of what to expect from the 992 Turbo.

I have a 991 Turbo S but that came with more standard spec than the Turbo

If you have a 991.2 Turbo S, I’d wait until they release the 992 Turbo S. I guess it’s nearly ready given the latest spy shots, and will probably drop at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. I’m not sure going from a current Turbo S to a 992 4S is a step forward.

Crossed wires to some extent.

I have a 991.1 TTS and am considering a 992 C4S or 992 TT. A 992 TTS will probably be beyond my means.

there's sparse information about the new Turbo/turbo s around at the moment, It's worth waiting for some hard figures before making any decisions I think

concerns of it being hideously expensive aside, i'm excited about the s and it may well be the first new Porsche I've bought new since the 997

Yes, no real info about. I'd be happy with the non S to be honest. I'm assuming it will get a power hike to give it the same power as my 991 Turbo S. That's more than enough power, I barely scratch the surface of the power reserves as it is.

What I was trying to find out was what the standard spec of the 991 Turbo was so I would have an idea of what the standard spec on the 992 Turbo would be.

For example, was sports chrono standard?

on 991.1 turbo sports Chrono was standard. as are 14 way seats, full leather, Alcantara headlining, LED lights etc etc.

Thanks, very helpful.

I'm definitely better off waiting for the Turbo to be released then; assuming no massive increase in price of course.

I just hope it steers as well as the 992 C4S because the one I drove felt a lot better than my TTS.
