Hello!

I’ve just got a new to me 991.1

2 owners before me. Only 12000 miles on the clock though

In the service book it has 3 stamps

Vehicle delivery is stamped central operations Porsche centre reading

SAles check is stamped central operations Porsche centre reading

1st service was bang on time at 7000 miles, and is stamped Porsche centre reading (ie the central operations bit is not listed)

Anyone know what the central operations bit means?

I’d imagine it means it was a Porsche GB owned Press , Managment or even PEC car...I’d rule out PEC and Press on the basis of mileage though. Maybe it was used as a display car somewhere.

Google search is your friend:

"Operations is the department looking after 918 / CGT / Press and Promotions. The used car prep and PDI on new cars for the group are looked after centrally too."

Thanks
I assume not PEC as it is definitely a “comfort “ spec. Doesn’t have Pse or sports chrono which I assume all PEC cars would have

Press car I guess it could be, but again, the spec on mine is low, not many options and I’d have assumed the press cars would have been high spec
