My mechanical sympathy does not sit well with a 2 year service interval on current 911 models, have already carried out one oil and filter change and will carry out another prior to the service interval. I am wondering whether to write it in the service book?

Others must have dealt with this issue?

If doing DIY, just keep the receipts for oil / filter / sump washer and write the date & mileage on the receipt. Other stuff I do I photograph as evidence as the picture will have a date / time stamp on it too.

If at a garage they will give you a receipt anyway.

PS - remember to cut the filter open to check for metal particles which is a sign of something bad going on thus warrants investigation.
