Cup 2 slow puncture...replace?
Discussion
Hey chaps
Wondering what the consensus is. Right rear cup 2 is dropping down under 2bar within a couple of hours of being inflated. Is there any point in trying to have this repaired?
If I replace it, I assume its best to do the other rear tyre with it?
Both have a reasonable amount of tread left in them, but far from new.
Cheers

If it’s in the centre and not near the edge at all… get it repaired first and see how you get on. The repair if done properly will be no issue at all. Wondering what the consensus is. Don’t just waste the tyre and money if there is still plenty of life and tread in it.
You need to find out what the cause is. I had two new tyres fitted and had a slow puncture in one .. the valve seal to the rim was the cause and I was a short time away from a complete flat.
Having had a tyre valve sliced off in close racing, a very rapid tyre deflation is not something that I would recommend on track ... or on the road.
