For me, the Cup 2 make a big difference to the car and I feel like it would compromise the enjoyment too much.
The Cup 2 was a big step on in wet weather performance, and I would feel pretty comfortable using them in all but biblical weather. I did a track day in the wet and was fine with them, for example.
If you are putting serious miles on, I would probably be more bothered about how frequently you have to change the rears and the inconvenience of getting them done. I have a Performante and it eats through its Trofeo Rs for fun as the tread depth is minimal from the start. It's probably a 4 hour job to get them swapped as I go to a place further afield where they have machine that guarantees not to mark the wheels. That would be a PITA if it was my daily car.

Thanks for that. I'm probably being a bit overcautious. I'm not intending to drive in the rain, but I guess with it being new, and my current 911 being AWD and on Pilot Sport 4S, I'm concerned the extra power, the more track focused tyres and RWD might catch me out.The Cup 2 was a big step on in wet weather performance, and I would feel pretty comfortable using them in all but biblical weather.
