Anyone know what happened with the one for sale at the recent Bonhams auction? 95k CHF including premium seems like a bargain!

Very interesting.

Even the cheapest 7.2 RS in Switzerland (given the CHF quote in your link) comes in at around 140k CHF - and that is with double the km and without PCCBs. And it has red dials which some believe makes the car fastest and others believe they make it unable to ever find a buyer:

Unclear what the Saudi provenance of the car does to its value. There may be other "issues" not apparent from the link

Given I believe you have to pay import duty and vat, I assume it‘ll be quite a bit more once it has a Swiss or EU plate on it

Edit: on second thought I might be wrong and EU taxes are paid already.

It says:

"VAT, Car Tax and Customs Duty at the standard rates will be payable on this Lot if the car remains in Switzerland."

Also interesting that it is missing the front splitter. Only on the basis that we are searching for reasons for it being cheap, I have heard in some of the Arab states where they collect cars, often they're not serviced as a result.

Was discussed on another’s thread....there’s no service history mentioned so maybe that’s an issue but as I said on that thread even if you have to spend £30k on it it’s a cheap car that will a;ways be tainted by lack of service history so you can use it properly and not worry about its value.
