You talking about the the white 65 plate 14k mile Nottingham WBAC car?

Not that it sold but you probably dodged a bullet as that car has transmission issues and is outside Porsche warranty.

No extended leather either which is a killer on a GT3 never mind the RS.

I've seen mention of transmission issues else where - what specifically is it and how does one identify?

Yep I can see that, that would be at the forefront of my mind through Blanchimont, it would clearly ruin the driving experience.

Although it wouldn't ruin the driving experience as much as the dodgy transmission.

No leather comes a close second.

I referred to it on another thread.

Can anyone back these transmission issues up or is it just certain people scare mongering?

It’s probably in the ring as it hasn’t sold at a OPC and it’s past it’s stocking loan period.

It's a UK Car Group buy directly entered by them.

The car had an AA engineers report stating the transmission defects as a condition of sale.

As would lack of a reversing camera

In the recent Smoking Tyre 991.2 RS video, Matt Farah made comment to go light on options as with an RS you're buying the car, not all the other stuff.
Perhaps in the UK it's a bit different, stitching matters...

Depends in UK most were bought for re-sale , but if buying to use , yes go light the car is the star not the spec .... and yes most cars being used around the world also have steel brakes . So there are different reasons to have bought the car .
I went very light on spec ....as once you have a few thousand on the clock , it will be hard to sell due to the mass of no milage cars .

Thats what todays motorsport version owner has come down to sadly, leather and ceramics ffs.
Never seen so many damaged gt3 and rs down at the ring this week in storage for repair or scrapping.
Probabley because they were looking at there stitching and fondling the leather instead of looking ahead in the fox hole! smile

True.

But if you can't go backwards at 1mph without hitting something you've little chance of going forwards at 70+ times that without mishap.

Yes I was aware of the issues, but was willing to go £130k on it, bear in mind lower fees on the black card, but of course a normal punter off the street, the fees would make it less attractive

Yep as I said clearly the issues and also lack of leather was at the forefront of the professional bidders mind in assessing the cars true value ££ as the car hit the 'ring'.

Looks like the driving experience was in fact ruined after all. hehe
