Hi guys,
I have a lovely 997.2 PDK which is superb, steering feel and overall performance is just great..
It's got a std exhaust and non sports chrono, I'm not bothered about the clock on the dash.... But I would like a sport mode to ensure the car doesn't go to 7th gear in auto mode.... Maybe there is a software flash with manual switch available?
Exhaust wise.. What's the thought on X pipe vs gundo hack?

I had the SPORT and SPORT+ buttons and software retrofitted to my 997.2 T4S PDK by OPC Guildford.
Regarding the exhaust, I'd recommend the PSE. IMO it's the best of bost worlds, but I concede it is expensive.
One of the valve lift solenoids failed on mine and was repaired under extended warranty. Because the standard exhaust had to come off to get to it, I had the PSE retrofitted (with 10% PCGB discount) and no labour - yeah!
Good luck. 997.2 C2 is a beautiful car IMO. And with PSE it will command a premium should you ever have to sell it.

I recommend 2 items to change.
1. Get a Bovee 1000 so you can run Spotify play lists
2. Change that wheel to the steel paddle shift. Drive it in manual mode with paddles to avoid quirky auto gear downshifting in sports plus mode.
PSE: find the resonance point. That's when the flat Six reaches its perfect pitch point.

I have had an exhaust bypass fitted last weekend on my (PSE) GTS, had long considered it as even with PSE the exhaust is quite muted.
On the other hand I was also worried the bypass would make it too loud but I needn't have worried. The sound increase is very modest, noticeable above 4k rpm but not really under.
If you get both the gundo hack (generally accepted as a significantly cheaper alternative to PSE) and a bypass, you will definitely notice a difference for the better. In normal mode (your current only mode) it will only be audible on start up and above 4k rpm and so doesn't affect daily driving at all.
Sport PDK however is a much much larger difference than the exhaust and you will be amazed at how much better it is, I would get this first if you must prioritise.

It is worth noting that the gundo hack doesn't have nearly the same effect on the .2 than it does the .1.
Unless it is under warranty, I would research the aftermarket options personally. If I went back, I'd certainly want something a little louder than the PSE (as the .2 in general is quieter than the .1) as you can only just hear it.

i still haven't done anything, and its parked up for the winter - but for sure will look into gundo and bypass, as it really is pathetic as standard !!
sport is definitely something i'd like to retrofit too...... albeit i wouldn't want to spend a chunk on it... its it OPC only to do it ?
