Yep - i watched it this morning also.. good watch over tea or coffee.

These are amazing cars - No.1 on my wish list.

Had the pleasure of a passenger ride with JC at the PH GT Trackday we had @ Silverstone in June. This only added fuel to the fire.
There are quite a few that get used by people on here actually - so not all are garage queens.

Likewise at Donington earlier this year, he incredibly generously took me out for a few pax laps.

I thought, given the value and legendary reputation of these cars, it might be fun but 'safe' few laps. I thought wrong. Driven to the maximum. Hugely enjoyable. thumbup

I also was fortunate to have some passenger laps with JC at SS just before Tyrone..Actually if i remember correctly i went out just before Tyrone and despite JC'c claim to the contrary he's the best driver i'm ever been with in any car, let alone a CGT.
I watched that video last night and i agree its brilliantly done and its the one car i'd sell my home to allow buying one..Best car ever made and ever will IMO..

Without wanting to be a downer on a car for sale, if it's the car I'm thinking about it has some lets just say interesting stories about the repair and personally I'd rather fork out a bit more to get another high mileage car from europe that is perfectly straight although given it has lasted a good few miles since the repair it can't have been all that bad I suppose. High mileage cars in germany at about 50-60+k km aren't as rare as the video suggests actually and it's just a matter of finding one with good history.

And tbh one merely needs to be mad/stupid/insane enough to use one properly these days rather than just due to having one with iffy history really. Good example -

Added crazy there as it wasn't even the owner driving.....

P.S you can feel the angst as lasource met a slow car on the last corner when on a good lap laugh

Was there not something on PH about it a good while back? When they talked about the car having been repaired in the video, it did trigger a dim and distant memory with me and, not saying it is necessarily the same car, but I did seem to remember that car/repair:

Not the one in the linked thread I think. The scd car if it's the one I'm thinking about was repaired a long time ago (as mentioned in the video too).

Thank you, that was great to watch.
This to me is a modern more refined version of the F50, albeit 10 instead of 12 cylinders. Naturally aspirated, instant throttle response with a screaming engine. So much desire for this spin

Enjoyed watching that. Could have done with more in-car footage though.

Would imagine it's a proper handful on winter roads though. Maybe he had a moment or two like you did in Wales, Digga! biggrin

Oh man, looks like that could have been in the 21s wink

Now next time we really need to try it with slicks. I think it would then have challenged the XBow too biggrin

definitely could have been a longer video with more driving. Enjoyable non the less.
I think this car needs to be much nearer 3 than 4 though

They do have an issue about always driving sideways in full drift .... well that is my experience with JC ...

Funnily enough exactly the same experience myself,Digga and TDT had with JC....He's either the world's worst driver, totally incapable of reining his CGT in a straight line, or alternatively the world's best driver who drives his CGT only sideways out of choice.biggrin
Very strange behaviour indeed, scaring us mere mortals witless..hehe

Good video.

Reminded me of German touring car driver Tim Schrick sending a Carrera GT sideways round every corner of a mountain pass on original stty tyres:

Best road car that i've ever driven. It felt like a Sports prototype on crap tyres. The car had far more potential than the tyres of the time were capable of harnessing. i'd love to drive one on modern tyres, i'd imaging that it would be sublime.

I drove the cgt for the scd vid. I also wish there was more driving footage in the vid. We spent 8 hrs filming loads of driving then we spent 5 mins doing the static speech. SCD are cautious about publishing driving clips that may appear to be a little too fast, or may appear to use a little too much of the road. I suspect another video is on the way tho, with more clips and less talking.
