Hi Everyone

Having owned many Lotus and a couple of Porsche I’ve started to think again (recently) about buying another enthusiast car.

2019 has been absolutely horrendous for both myself and my family. It’s really made me think seriously about what I want and why!

I initially thought about another Lotus but a test drive this month has put that to bed. I’m now thinking about an early 991, question’s

Any issues? Things to look out for good and bad?

I have owned a 2005 C2 (997) a few years back so understand running costs etc

I've had my 2012 991s for nearly 2 years now
only issues so far are a broken coil spring and it needed the intercoolers for the aircon replacing due to a leak, all covered by the warranty.

Less thinking, more buying - that's my advice. I picked up a 991 Gen 1 GTS. Outrageous smile-to-mile ratio.

Yep I know , it’s David :-)

Just wondered if you have driven the new Evora Gt410.
Build is up, but it’s an old school car which in this day and age is good.

I bought a 991 GTS for a daily it lasted 2 months.
Most new cars feel dull as dish water.

Sorry David,

Didn’t know buddy. I haven’t as yet but I’d like a drive, had a go in most other variants the 400 was fantastic but lots of money.

So 45k is my maximum spend. Looking for a 991 911 C2S (sub 50,000 miles).

Really want a colour other than Grey, Silver, Black etc. Don’t want a typical Porsche “buy it because it’s a Porsche colour”.

PDK
Bose
Sports Steering Wheel

Are must have’s, any other essential options?
