My new 992S came on Goodyear tyres. I know some cars have arrived with Pirellis. Both of these are NA0 rated (so 992 specific). My question is, are there any other NA0 tyres available yet? Specifically Michelin PS4S?

I have no point of reference but I guess that’s good to hear. But are they good only relative to the Pirellis which nobody seems to like?

I have the Pirellis and I think they are fine.

The Pirellis are quite ‘hard edged’ whereas the Goodyears feel more compliant. Same grip I’s say but the Pirellis don’t match the car’s GT characteristics so well. I also noticed the Pirellis prefer warmer temperatures where the Goodyears were happier than the Pirellis below 20C.

Last time I looked no-one else offered a suitable rear tyre that’s n-rates but I’m sure Michelin will do in time.

Thanks everyone. I hope Michelin introduce a PS4S soon with NA0 rating.

It's always difficult to generalise about tyres, because there are so many variables - specs, sizes, compounds, age, vehicle, usage ….but I've always found Goodyear Eagle F1 derivitives to be very good road tyres.

I've done 65k miles on GY F1 A2s (25 on a TTS, 40 on my 981) and wouldn't rush to switch to the PS4S.

Some good reviews of the Michelin but I spoke to a chap at Camskill (17 years there) who said there had been many unhappy buyers too.

The Goodyears have never let me down.
