Not the 992 GT3.....

With the recent release of the new Porsche Advert - some eagle eyed PH-ers may have spotted what they thought to be the new 992 GT3. However, as there is now a 20+ mins behind the scenes you can see that the image is infact computer generated! My 14yr old spotted it! Needless to say - Porsche never miss a trick to stoke the marketing fire!

They didnt include a final production image in there for fun. Its all part of the plan.
The car will be launched very soon....Im happy to stake my reputation on it!
Great spot from the young lad but obviously they meant the car to be there and it’s probably a lot easier to “CGI” it than put the real thing there. If it is a 2021 launch its very early to be doing this kind of marketing. With the way emissions are going and the fact that need say a year of production for GT3 and another year for RS wouldn’t be surprised if we see the car earlier than expected. I think emissions get even tougher something like 2023. I think Harry Metcalfe said in one of his recent vids he reaction everything will likely be hybrid by 2023 because of average emissions manufacturers have to hit.
A key date for introducing new series models is Euro 7 which has yet to be agreed but the EU responsible body is pushing for emissions standards to include requirement for Lambda 1.00 at all load conditions.
Expected to come into effect for new series certification on January 1 2022?
This of course is in addition to fleet emissions averages.
I wonder whether the OEMs will grow some and realise this together with the economics of small/medium EVs will entail a completely different business model.

It's a great ad but they seem to be desperately pushing the Taycan in both the advert and real life!
I had one on order that I have now cancelled as will wait for the cross turismo to arrive however I have had multiple calls from dealers offering me a build slot for a 4S for delivery in May this year! Strange as I thought this would be "The car" to have in 2020!
