Have been watching a few vids of the gen 1 997 RS.

Colors for me strictly Viper or Orange.

Whats the view generally on all RS models going forward in terms of collectability and current values ?

The 997 strikes me as a decent RS that can still be classed as more modern day and not have the UK handicap of being LHD in general like the 964 RS

I'm no expert, but I wouldn't be buying a £100k+ car at the moment if I was concerned about future values. The UK and the world is a changing place right now with regard to investments, combustion engines, pollution, economics etc.

Buy one if you want one to drive and accept that you'll lose money, probably losing more money the more you drive it...

I've been after a normally priced, rhd green gen 1 997 for 18 months. They tend to attract a premium which in my opinion isn't worth it.

In regards to the economy etc, I disagree, now is the time to pick up a potential bargain. But, you will lose money if you put miles on it, for some reason we brits have a concern with mileage as opposed to condition. Unlike our German friends.

.
There were only eleven RHD C16 UK Viper green 997.1 GT3RS so good luck even finding one for sale, yet alone at a bargain price.

If one comes up at normal money I'll buy it, and you'll want it so the price won't be normal, little supply, lots of demand.

Why buy one if your not going to put miles on it.Your hardly going to make any money above what you paid for it.

I'm not certain but I believe there were around 30 orange ones, definitely more popular at the time?

Yes but let's face it, fun things cost money.

A good meal in a nice restaurant and a show.....you lose money on that as well...

Doesn't mean you just look at it wistfully on YouTube though does it.

Buy it, drive it and enjoy it.

If someone paid 150k for an RS with 3k miles on it and ran it for 18 months and put the mileage up to 15k, how much would you buy it for.

The green was definitely not popular when new. I bought mine new and still have it, but I have never seen another one in Canada where I live.

I’m guessing 120 as a rough idea

Was thinking 120-5, which I wouldn't find unreasonable if it was a quick sale.

Now that’s a beauty, lovely to here you have owned it for so long.

I believe green is hard to come by in the uk.

It is very ironic that nobody wanted the green at the time , despite the press car being that colour (Hammond on Top Gear for example ) and now they're fought over
