My996 gt3 has just undergone a 20th year birthday present.
Ohlins r&t fitted at CG, set of E88s and a colour change wrap.
CG raised the ride height slightly, reduced the camber, the ohlins were installed with road set springs. Feels a lot different from the previous factory setup. Can lean on the car with so much more confidence now, less crashy, less jumpy on a B road.
Thought i'd share a few pics with the new wheels.

Love it. Think the BBS now works better with the wrap.

Have you had any engine upgrades too?

996 seems to be the wanted Gt3 suddenly

Hi - had wayne schofield at Chipwizards remap the engine last week to suit the M&M exhaust fitted a few years ago.
Read 391 bhp on the dyno - its good to know its in fine fettle.

Cheers

They look great, and you’ve comprehensively beaten me on the “who gets their wheels first” front, still no sign of mine.

iirc you ordered the LMs? Got these E88s through Gert at Carnewal, ordered last week of January. - cast aside any doubts, they are well worth the wait and the notes

Perfect Wayne is a wizard! mine has the full Manthey and the noise is insane!

Glad I got my hands on the car, just getting it set up for fast road from track as this will be more of my usage .

Wonderful ... lovely wheels ... a fab colour ... classy re-map with the best name attached ...and a proper set of dampers with a fab set-up.

If non standard is your gig, does it get any better ?

Singh911 has a lot to answer for: my first pax lap in a GT3, at Spa way back in 2006, which got me hooked on them immediately.

He sneakily paid lunch tab for me and D.no at Caffeine & Machine last weekend.

Now he's parading these BBS wheels in front of me.

Bad infiluence but a top bloke.

Car's looking good !! Though I have to say I do like Artic and Polar on a Mk1 996 GT3.
What size E88's did you go for in the end ? 10.5 rears and 8.5 fronts ? or 11 & 9's ?

Great to see someone fettling his car to enjoy it and drive it ! Looks fantastic on those BBS wheels. Was great to meet and chat at C&M last weekend. Next time let’s hope it’s dry !

Well let’s say it’s a Manthey Plus conversion David.
It runs a 2009 997 3.6 GT3 Cup engine with a bespoke exhaust manifolds/system and custom mapped to produce 465 hp at 8200rpm.
