I see a number of owners over on 911UK have mentioned receiving a letter this weekend concerning the need to retrofit a heat shield on the 991....anyone had the letter?

Yes, letter came through yesterday. However it states nothing can be done at present due to lockdown and parts supply.

Does the letter say which models / production dates are affected?

I've not received a letter yet. Thanks.

Hi
The letter just says '911 of the 991 line'.
I got two letters. One for my previous TTS which was stolen not recovered and one for my current TTS. They are 2014 and late 2015 plates respectively ie both 991.1

Not sure if that helps or not

Thanks - mine is a 2014, so sounds like will be affected.

Wonder if it affects the 991.2 also? Just as likely to have rags left in the engine compartment and not by me!

I had my letter arrive Saturday morning,

says to carry on driving as normal and the heat shield will be fitted in my next visit to my preferred Porsche centre, which in my case will be Porsche centre Nottingham.

Letter states it affects vehicles of the 991 model line and that the work should take about 2 hours.
