Long shot - Anyone know this 991.2 GTS?
Discussion
First time I have been back on the forum for several years - seems life took over for a while there!
Anyway, if anyone happens to know this car I’d be interested. Long shot but you never know - working on the basis it is more likely than not to have been owned by a petrolhead.
Thanks!

For that money have you seen the Green one for sale on Facebook with 29 miles ?
Lovely colour but maybe needs a bit more investigation

Thanks - I fancy a PDK. My last 911 was a 997.1 C4S a long time ago now. It was manual which I loved but become so used to autos now. I have a Defender for when I want a manual - almost the same driving experience as a 911
Also, I like yellow but no sure I’d be brave enough to own it!
Appreciate the input.

The crayon one is really nice but maybe a little expensive in current market!

At that kind of money, you could get a 992s.
I came out of a GTS to a 992, it a better car in every way.
And a lot faster!
A 992 is a lot faster than than 991.2 GTS? Pretty much the same performance figures. The 992 may be the newer model but many prefer the styling of the 991.2, both inside and out. I came out of a GTS to a 992, it a better car in every way.

On top of that the 992s sound like vacuum cleaners! jcosh said:

We all know that Porsche don't go backwards.
The 992 might have the same figures but the 8 speed box and the other tricks they have put in there make it a big step up over the 991GTS.
If you have to have a better sound then you have to put an aftermarket exhaust on it.
The GTS is a great car and I loved mine, sold it to a friend of mine, so I get lots of chances to see them back to back and every time I get back in the 992 I am amazed at how much Porsche have pushed on in this car.
Have a test drive in them all and then get the car that feels right for what you want to use it for.

Interesting and not doubting your experience. Both great cars and the 991.2 GTS is plenty quick enough for the road, probably quicker than a GT3 on the road in real terms. But I just don’t enjoy the styling of the newer car. I think the 991.2 might be one of the nicest 911 designs of the modern era. Really appreciate the input - thanks all.
I think it is fair to say the price is 'toppy' but the spec works for me and acknowledging colour/appearance is subjective, I really, like crayon. Green or yellow look amazing but just not sure I have what it takes (the balls bascally) to own one of those colours.
I considered the black 992 on collecting cars in the week but I am still not convinced by the rear end. I would want the sport design rear end I think and there aren't (m)any floating around.
Anyway, I have found a solution that works for me. Just bought the 991.2 GTS and placed a deposit on a 992 that the OPC will allocate to a GTS build when slots become available.
