I have had the gt3 for over a year now and covered 10000 miles.

I've always felt the rear brakes (PCCB's) are working harder than the fronts and they lock up first just before the abs kicks in. This is from all speeds. This seems to reduce braking performance as the fronts arent working hard enough.

My car is in porsche leeds at the moment and they have reported back to me that the front brake pads have 10mm left and the rears 8mm. They are original items. This seems unusual to me as I would expect the fronts to wear more quickly and I think it backs up what I am feeling in the car.

Does anyone else have any experience of this or any ideas what the problem could be?

Cheers guys

Any rear brake use is bad driving sadly.

Porsche uses PTV to get you round a bend you would not make other wise.

that system uses rear brakes to do so.

In 2 years I have not had ABS cut in on my GT3 so again sadly = poor Driving Techniques.

Also have you had a geo ? ie if it has too much camber on the rear you have less contact patch.
front camber should be more than the rear.

FYI,
As I understand 991 gt3 PCCB pads are 18mm new front and 17.*mm new rear.
The backing plate and shim is around 5.5mm for both.
