Looking at two different Gt3’s. One Is 2015 reg and has 6K miles the other late 2014 with 17K. Same colour and identical spec. The higher miler has one less owner (two). Question is, how much less is the high mile one worth over the low mile one?

Do you have any links that you could post?

Seems to be quite a lot of price variability at the moment, are they private, dealer, Porsche Indy or OPC sales? This would also impact price to some degree

No links I’m afraid both private and not widely advertised - more a word of mouth via friends thing.

Just trying to get a handle on price spread - personally, I expect the 6K miler is worth £5/7K ish more given it’s done 11K miles less. Just wanted to see what other people felt?

Before I read this post I had 10k in my head. Not necessarily right but is the figure I came up with.

No chance, I would buy on the Rev of the engine in said car and over all condition as I am finding the more expensive the car the less it’s looked after !!! Rich , pcp deals = non looked after cars I am finding esp Gt models. They rag them from 1 mile, track them straight away, then flip them.

Go look at both cars and one will look better than the other, buy that one.

I went to look at a 4K mile RS yesterday, looked like a 20k mile car !

In fact I went to look at two cars yesterday and both were crap, the other had 8k miles and looked 10 years old !! (Not a porker)

I got back in my GT3 and thought I must be mad, I own the best Car Porsche have built for a decade, built to my spec , why am I looking at cars !

The 17k car will be a far harder sell as sadly people would now class that as high misfit age of Gt3, god knows why. With this in mind I would suggest the higher car would need to be around 8k to 10k less as long as they are in the same condition and both have the correct service history.

Out of interest have both had engine changes?

Work on 4K miles PA on Gt and buy/ price it according to that.

Miles don’t matter imo unless you are after a sub 3k mile car, price does and miles reflect the price based on 4K pa. And sell sub 30k miles to max returns as then they are harder to sell.

Also it depends how the op will use it, buying a higher mile car and adding 2k would be a great buy as it will drop the ave miles on the car, so if you got it a lot cheaper you will be £££ in come resale.
But if the OP is thinking about adding over 5K pa then the 17k car will always be just above ave miles and I would be looking at a slight lower mile car.

All cars would have to be a G Rev 6 engine though as the thought of an issue knowing how poor OPC look after you now is key to that car.

Neither have had engine changes - as yet anyway. Both have extended Porsche warranty which I would keep going. High miler defo not been tracked - low miler, it’s a possibility just not sure what first owner used it for.

So far views seem to range £8 to £10K spread?

Would the 14 be naturally on an F engine and the 15 on a G? Engine number will reveal all. In any case both will have a number of years left on the free Porsche 10yr engine warranty....get one bought and enjoy, epic car, good luck!

Presumably the E engine is an E1. Mine is and was replaced at the dealer as part of the stop sale.

I have photos of the engine change as the original owner kindly got in touch with me and provided them.

I think a number of us have E1 engines that have never missed a beat. Do drive it slowly though and see what the gear change is like, I've had a new box as it was unusually lumpy, a few cars have needed this.

Regards
Fred
