Was wondering what people's thoughts are on where the 991 will start bottoming out? Toying with the idea of getting one but worried it will drop 30k/50% as soon as I put my deposit down wink

Price differential from a 992 is still pretty wide and I can't see the 992 prices dropping too much, given it is still the current model etc so hopefully the differential holds some what

Obviously, big unknown factors are Brexit & Covid & jury is still out on whether they will impact car prices - that (in particular the latter) "can" keeps getting kicked down the road....no let up in car prices from what I can see although it is debatable on whether anything is actually moving (2nd market in particular)....PCP & lease I can imagine is alive and kicking i am sure.

My thoughts based on not much lol

991.1 GTS models - Will hold best relatively. Last of the NA and GTS spec.
991.1 Carrera/S - Will continue to drop but slowly as miles and years pile on.
991.2 All - Will drop into line with 991.1. No premium for .2 only miles/age.
992 All - As per 991.2.

Only thing id add, is that 991 values floor will always be the 997.2 value upper percentile...

The 997.2 is still doing remarkably well and the 'last of' them are creeping above the 991.1

I’d imagine, and this is just my unqualified opinion, that the 991.2 will reach parity with the .1 fairly soon.

Having done the .2 thing and severely paid for it, i’d go to a .1 every time or even better just jump into a 997.

Having had 2 997s and tried all the newer one eventually found a v low milage 991.1 cab which is now a keeper. It has a characterful engine that sounds good an minimal touch screen tech, what’s not to like.
