Hi

Yes had a drive there - car has had new disks/pads and front bumper had also just been refitted having come back from being repainted that day I arrived Saturday so no video tour.
The main issue was that the driver seat was damaged - the side bolster of the upright part was heavily marked/worn and the stitching pulled. dealer said that it would be repaired to 90% although stitching could not and would still be the same. Anyway drove the car and it went well, nice drive as I would expect.

So I think for me if im spending £88k on a car with 15000 miles I wouldnt expect such wear/damage to the seat so will not go for it. thinking back to other cars Ive owned even with double that miles none have had such wear/damage to the seat. Understand it was a father 1st owner and his son as a 2nd owner. Feels car may have been unloved/used hard.

had agreed a px for mine (having had the car px valued by the same group and OPC 7 days ago) and agreed same figure on the phone but they started the negs with £2k off which wasnt cricket.

So will hang on and wait for the right one for me.

Love the colour. Targa makes it even more desirable. How did the test drive go? I heard the wind buffeting is quite bad with Targa compared with the full convertible.

an E63 AMG 3 yrs old 4.0 twin turbo all wheel drive has all the modern displays etc.

its a tricky one as the AMG is more comfortable, more powerful, lots of toys, handles well and i could not think of a better car do do a long journey in or most journeys to be honest so it would be my car +£45k to get the same age Targa the benefit to me would be the open top and lighter car for better handling.

Had 3x porks in the past so do enjoy them. but equally had M5 RS6 and two E63's !! haha fancy going back to open top of some description and the way the pork handles being lighter.

The E63 is brutal where as the Targa felt like its half a ton lighter which it is ! wink both great cars in different ways.

found it ok with regards to buffering but wasnt going very fast and on country lanes - I didnt want main roads so it would match the roads Im on at home, there was a fair bit of wind noise.

May go and have a drive of the full convertible and see how that is.
