Edited to say: 991.2 !! Silly typo

I’m in the market for an S or GTS and looking and private sales and trade in values it seems most cars on the market are about 5 to 10k over value. Is this just a side effect of the current strong market? Are they selling?

Any thoughts on if it will calm down in the jan/Feb/March time frame?

Just to clarify are you looking at a 991.2 GTs or a 992 S as there is no 992.2 yet only a 992.1

Trade values just tanked last week due to these full lock down circuit breaker rumors.

A lot of trade values are 20% down this week.
So while we have seen all these cars go up in value 2nd hand, the last 3 months , that’s totally been wiped out last week.

Add that to last 1/4 sales are always dire and low, we are about to see a lot of upset people part ex cars in the next months.

What this will do to retail price I have no idea , time will tell.
Any one who sold a car just before did well and this will sting dealers with current stock they over paid for.

Must admit not seeing any movement on 991/GT4 prices . In fact some silly prices being achieved for some cars such as this one which I believe is now sold
https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en_GB/Cayman-GT4-232...

They also sold a bobby basic GT4 for £73K

this is for sale but that is a high covid price https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en_GB/911-Carrera-GT...

20% seems a huge swing.

I heard of a few 718 GT4 trade bids at £12k below list (last week), which is about 5% less they were offering a couple of months ago. Saying that I couldn't get a dealer to sell me a 718 spyder for £8k under list.

Prices are soft before the lockdown rumours. JZM cut prices of some stick 10%last week e.g. 996.2 GT2 ...Romans listed a Speedster at just under £250k which is the cheapest I’ve seen one etc,

Time of year and lots of high end cars aren’t shifting and plenty around,

Yes. It was inevitable that things would adjust as we moved towards winter, and with all the brewing issues.

Although advertised prices may not yet have dropped, from my own recent purchase and trade-in enquiries, the balance of power is definitely shifting to the buyer.
