Porsche: No 911 EV, possibly ever
Discussion
Andrew Frankel talked about this on his Drive Nation Podcast a couple of months ago. Mr 911 at Porsche had basically told him he'd retire before he'd sign off on an electric 911.
Personally once you lose the essential DNA of a rear engined car which an electric version of a 911 would I just don't see how it's a 911. Hard one for Porsche as the 911 "brand" is worth so much but personally I think they should retire it when they stop making cars with the internal combustion engine. Whenever that is.

I totally agree. The 911 should die with the internal combustion engine, it would be 'right' to have an EV of the same name
