Nice car, but what a crap advert - wouldn’t expect any better from JZM mind. All it focuses on is money money money, what about the actual car?!

That advert really makes for quite sad reading - I thought those times were coming to an end again

I remember a client and friend calling them and offering his GT2 Mk2 for an outright sale back in the days when they weren't so valuable. Their reply was "what's a Mk2 GT2". Crazy how times change.

I love that. If it were half reasonable money I’d buy and drive. Prefer 997 personally but I’d settle for this. Colour makes that GT2 wink

They had a Red RHD 996.2 GT2 last summer...14k miles. Up for IIRC £165k then reduced to £150k....didn’t sell. Sales patter for that was identical.

The reality is the 996 and 997 GT2 are not cars that attract a lot of buyers.

Agree about a lot of the wording, tragic.

Didn’t sell the car to JZM, it was to another dealer, but I guess someone thinks they can talk up the value.

I would say that it was a lot of fun as a track day toy for the 15 years I owned it.

I saw the red one too. Very surprised it didn't sell looked amazing too. OP hope you got close to the asking price!

Even at almost 19 years old the colour really pops when you see the car in the metal.

Haha not even close to the asking price, but it was over 50% more than I had bought it for back in 2005. I was okay to move it on after 15 years as a track day toy.

And the red and yellow make both those 996 GT2s. I completely disagree with the values dealers are trying to achieve at the mo on them. I understand the low numbers and last of no no tc etc. Small point they are pretty difficult to drive well for the average driver - glad you had lots of fun especially on track thats what its all about smile

You should only buy a car like this if it gets your juices flowing. Certainly gets my juices flowing but more money than a 991.2 GT3? GT3 all day long.

£150k I’ve lost touch

can’t be that many left that haven’t been in a roadside ditch these days, my former car did as I’m sure loads others

Good luck to them if they get anywhere near to that

Grey one at 911v at 100k ish. Comparable condition and mileage car in slate grey which is special order. Yellow was a standard colour. In fact stick some buckets in on grey one and remove armchairs its lighter than this club sport too wink

hehe The advert is basically a 'plethora' of posh words, that someone who was heducated might use, presumably to invoke avarice. However the typist who jammed them together forgot the punctuation.

What car? I only saw an investment opportunity. rolleyes

I really liked my red 997 GT2 CS (paid 96k euros for it from memory). Unfortunately I did not realize you actually need to know how to drive, so turned it into a heap of scrap 4 months after taking delivery.
I always preferred the look of the 996 - still really want one and saw one on slicks from time to time on track - pretty cool and fast.
