I have been trying to decide on a 991 Gts or 992s as only really want a Manual just about to pull the trigger when my Dealer contacts me AB’s says I can put down a deposit in the 992 GTs now !!!! Don’t know price or spec or order times or spec , basically nothing but now I’m sorely tempted ahhhhhhh..

I assume they are going to be at least £110k which is slightly over my ideal budget but should have a lot of the options as standard that I would have had to put in a 992s ????

Thoughts anyone and have any of you guys got any inside info in the GTs ??

Thanks
Max

Wouldn’t a 992’T’ be a better choice?
Probably due at a similar time?

The 992GTS Coupe will be a fantastic car especially with Manual and Rear axle steering.. Its what i'd get if i was in your shoes. Go easy on the options ie just BOSE, GTS interior pack and RAS will be fine. If you feel like paying for a special colour get it in Carmine Red which is the best GTS colour IMO.

GTS has start of sale in June so probably won't have a car until quite late into the season. It won't be cheap!

If the 991.2 GTS is anything to go by the 992 will be great. Although the styling of the 922 is not for me the driving experience should be mega.

When I started adding up the options I wanted on a 991.2 4S I soon got into GTS territory. Had mine for 3 years now and I'm glad I opted for the GTS. I've done almost 25k miles and the Alcantara has held up extremely well, no marks on the seats and I use a GTechniq cleaner on the steering wheel every now and then which has kept it in good condition.
It does everything I want and puts a smile on my face, easy to drive around Central London and special enough to enjoy the B roads on longer trips.
No plan to change it any time soon.

They are mega cars! Road, track, daily or euro trips. Very versatile and easy to live with, not to mention mega quick.

My local dealer said the car has been pencilled in for launch on 29th March with first UK cars expected to be delivered to the UK during week 29, roughly mid July. That was as at mid Jan.. not sure if timing has changed due to continued lockdown.

Oh I will have to go easy on the options hahahaha. Just Bose and See what colour options there are.. do u think the GTS interior pack is a must ?? Be about £3k and that may be better spent elsewhere ?

Sounds like a good Recommendation to me !!! Can I ask what you felt you needed to spec on yours ?
Thanks

It’s not a must because it’s your car but for a lot of people it is definitely something they want. GTS has a few defining parts to it’s spec

CL wheels
Alcantara interior
Slightly more power
More focused/sporting chassis
Black exterior trim

Yep I have a Macan GTS at the moment and that has PSE and body kit as standard plus the point you mention , I didn’t need to add much to my spec 3-4K but I actually didn’t like the GTS interior pack on the Macan so easy to avoid it , just nervous about spending circa £115k on a car that is a tricky sell on after a few years , though I guess I may just keep it 😊😊

I think he was referring to the GTS extended leather package which is pretty expensive for what it is but it does make the interior feel special with the contrast stitching and leather rather than plastic on the dash. Speccing it does help with resale values allegedly

Another option is to spec the GTS pack with black stitching, which saves about £2000. you can then spend on other things, but still get the GTS pack

I did this on a few of my cars I've ordered.

IMO, GTS specs get a bit boring, its either red or silver stitching pack.

Be different.

Well bearing in mind the basic GTS already has a few options like CL wheels, exhaust, chrono, 20mm lower etc..I still managed to add £10k...
PDK, RWS, PDLS, GTS interior package (black stitching), Bose, rain sensors, park assist (no camera), couple of interior leather bits that are not included on the interior package.
Probably more than I need but I had my kept my last Porsche for 10 years (still got it) and I'll probably have this one for a while too.

Hmm Gts pack with Black stitching sounds something I would like and if it’s 2k cheaper , I really really like !! Haha
My spec is likely to be a few things that make everyday driving more comfortable and exterior design tweaks , it’s probably going to be my main daily so , sitting in traffic and freezing early mornings needed to me considered !!

Thanks

It was an option on the 991 range, so probably will be on the 992

It currently is on the 718 GTS

Have a play on the configurator.
