Hi,
So please bear with me on this - I’ve pretty much always had Lotus’s (aside from a 993 turbo many moons ago and a M E46). Several Elise’s and a couple of Evora’s the last being the 400 sport. Now all of the loti have fantastic turn in - very pointy and loads of fun in the corners. I’ve recently got myself 991.2 S manual for more daily duties (still have an Elise for the weekend) . I’ve only done a few hundred spirited miles thus far and it’s really early days still in terms of getting to know the car. I knew the fronted was going to be light and bobbing from my 993 days. However with the addition of EPS it’s feels very unconnected to the tarmac. I’m getting into all sorts of trouble from under steer to the odd arse out not when I’m not expecting it in the wet. So a couple of questions really; 1- can any geo setup be done to give more positive (feel) turn in? 2 - for those who have come from mid engined cars to rear engined , how can I alter my style for better turn in, in the corners. Currently taking the slow in, punch out of the corner approach. This post isn’t a slagging of its traits for anything as I’m having lots of fun and loving the car this far.
Thanks

Take it to Chris or Pete at Center Gravity - they will transform it for you - brilliant business - they have done all my cars; most recently a 991.2 GT3 - highly recommend So please bear with me on this - I’ve pretty much always had Lotus’s (aside from a 993 turbo many moons ago and a M E46). definitely get a geo done as suggested above. however dont expect the 991.2 to ever steer like the evora - it is simply not possible. as for driving styles, you need to be a bit faster on the way in so you can do a bit of trail braking into the corner and up to the point where you can get back on the throttle again. hence a little more speed allows to extend the trail braking section. This does not mean I am saying fast in, just enter at a speed that will allow you to trail brake to keep the weight on the nose as you are turning into the apex of the corner.
