992 Remap

Has anyone actually done this to their own car and want to share their experience?

Lichfield/DMS etc make some big claims for the available power, which presumably invalidate your warranty.

I have the base 992 so would be interested to hear how people have got on and any issues.

Presumably you’ve seen this video (on a 991 Litchfield upgrade)? I don’t the engine is any different between the 991.2 and the 992, but I could be wrong.

I have a friend with a 991.2 Carrera T, and I’ve been trying to convince him to get the modification done, would be a total no-brainer if it wasn’t for the warranty invalidation.

I’ve had my 991.2 done and I’ve been very pleased. A manual car with >500 bhp is fairly rare.

Had my 991 Turbo S tuned by Litchfield and was flawless for 18,000 miles inc 8,000 miles of 4 x Euro trips. Then had gen2 R8 tuned and equally flawless almost 20,000 miles with 6 x Euro trips. Would do it again.

Had my R8 RWS tuned by Mr Litchfield.

No turbos obvs, but still went from 540 to over 600 and a higher redline @9k.

I have a 991.2 GTS coming soon and VERY tempted to go from 450 to 540....
