Has anyone changed the trim on their steering wheel to alcantara either at Porsche or specialist?

I quite like the idea of this and the red centre mark...

Cheers

I enquired about changing the leather wheel on my 991.2 GTS to an alcantara one, and got prices, etc, etc. They are not the easiest company to contact, but seem very good. Not actually had it done yet due to their location.

They will either post you a wheel for you to have fitted, and then return your own, or alternatively you can in essence do a 'drive through' switch which takes a couple of hours I believe.

I got my Cayman wheel, gear stick, handbrake and central arm rest done at the back end of last year. Really can't fault them and wish I could take a picture that did it justice biggrin

Highly recommended. They're a small company and very in demand so bare that in mind with wait times.

I’ve used him too, quite a good guy, he’ll fit or give you a spare wheel while yours is being done

Completed my steering wheel & a few other bits a few years ago on my 997. Massive transformation & definitely recommended

+1 for https://royalsteeringwheels.com/

£184 inc. VAT and postage (Feb 2019) for my GT3 wheel re-trimming to include a red 12-o-clock marker. It is truly indistinguishable from the original except for the addition of the marker.

Alternatively, just clean it.

If you like it, do it. It won’t look horrid in a year unless you neglect it which seems highly unlikely!!

I have wondered if they trim over the old leather? I would like my leather wheel re done at some point but want it replaced not covered over so the thickness of the wheel remains the same
