I have seen a couple go past the opposite way on the motorway so not a good look. But a black one came a pistonheads Sunday service once and it was stunning!

Once saw two in a week, one at OPC Newcastle (UFO 1) couldn’t forget the reg, then one parked outside Wilko’s in Northallerton with the drivers window half open….unbelievable for a million quid car lol.

Yep saw my first 918 at Geneva motor show 2013 as I was unexpectedly and very luckily spontaneously invited into the air conditioned hermetically sealed cacoon at the rear of the main stand.

Main thing that struck me at first sight was how relatively compact it was especially compared to its La F and P1 peers. Almost suitable for doing the daily supermarket run in.

Theres a customer of Bolton OPC who did own 2 (as you do) one of which appeared regularly in the showroom.

Thought a 918 could have made a decent daily for the last 8 years or so - PDK, you can take the roof off, nav and all that stuff, 4wd - I suspect it would be better at the job than my RS is, which does daily duties atm. Wonder if the guy who dailied his CGT in Italy bought one.
I would definitely love to try ....

The 918 is an awesome car and beautifully made but have to say I'm pretty surprised one would describe a 918 as 'compact'.

It's a bloody big car and very wide. Similar dimensions to a cgt and that most certainly is not a compact car.
