I'm using a litre of oil per 2k miles (991.2)
Discussion
It seems I'm using around a litre of oil per 2k miles on pretty spirited driving. I had a week 2 months or so ago where I was getting a lot of white smoke (more than the usual vapour on start up), but after a weekend in Wales blasting about it stopped. I did call the OPC and he said it normal (!) at the time and not to worry.
Having just got back from a 5 day trip of similar nature it used about 800 ml of oil over 1600 miles.
A friend on the trip who works as Aston Martin says that the official line from Porsche is a litre per 1500miles is acceptable which seems bonkers. Similar google returns the same results.
I'm wondering if anyone else is getting this much consumption. The car has 23K on the clock currently and has had the turbos replaced at 13K miles.

The Flat Six design does lend itself to smoke on start ups. I have seen some OPC's running extractors for their showroom cars when they fire them up to move them.Having just got back from a 5 day trip of similar nature it used about 800 ml of oil over 1600 miles.

It wouldn't hurt to get your OPC/Indie to test an oil sample for peace of mind.
There is a documented issue with the oil lines on the turbos of the 991.2
I had a very similar issue with my 991.2 S a couple of years ago which initially manifested itself as lots of white smoke on startup
see here -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nnos246VU90
I asked my OPC to investigate, but they claimed they could not recreate the issue. I started to take video evidence of the white smoke problem and record oil consumption. It then got so bad I used a whole litre of oil on a 200 mile spirited drive through Wales. After that trip I dropped the car off at OPC and demanded they investigate. The issue was easy to recreate as the smoke was really bad after using full boost through the gears on the previous trip, leaving the car to cool down overnight and then looking at a cold start for the smoke the next morning.
OPC agreed there was an issue, and then diagnosed a manufacturing fault with the oil (return?) line from my offside turbo. Oil was backing up into the turbo, eventually leading to extreme wear.
All fixed under warranty in the end. OPC Bristol were great once they had diagnosed the issue.
