Just had a screw in my rear tyre. Recovered to Porsche dealer.
Wears Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 - not sure if all 991 GT3 hen 2 came with Michelin.
Told there are none in the country and don’t know when there will be any - could be next year !!
Was told that others have already been waiting for months.
Can find ones with k rating but not n.
Told it has to be n.
Seems incredible that there are no tyres about.
They must be putting tyres on new build GT3 !
What do they wear ?
Anybody else having these issues ?
Any other tyre that can be used ? Guess you would have to swap all four then too.

Shortages in all tyres from Michelin due to factory closures and they're not back up to speed yet. Manufacturers they supply as OEM will get priority in order to get new cars out of the door.

You either have to wait, find another N-rated option (if you're running the Porsche extended warranty) or buy non N-rated.

For a puncture, I'd get a repair if you can.

I would have mended but they said screw too close to side wall.
Thinking I could fit pilot sport 4S - but have to change all.
Out of warranty now but I might get one this year

I’d go Pilot Sport 4S, excellent tyre for the road, especially in the wet. I think they are approved for the 991.2 GT3 now, and I’ll be changing to them once the cup2’s on mine need replacing.

I have a set of N rated PS4S tyres on my OEM wheels I use over winter on my GT3….have another set of wheels with Cup 2’s on for summer as I do the odd track day.

The K is Ferrari spec.

To be honest, only the OPC would worry trying to protect the N rating cut ....

I did Spa on Cup 2's with N on the rear and K on the front ... I couldn't tell the difference from the set of N's that I had just worn out !!
