Hi everyone,

My first time posting but I've been reading the forums for a while so time to get involved!

I'm in the market for a 991.2 GTS Cabriolet (will be my first 911 after dreaming about it for years) and it seems prices are quite strong at the moment - would I be right in saying it looks like they've jumped £5-£10k since the beginning of the year for the same spec/mileage 991.2 GTS?

Hoping for some advice around spec -

I'm not too concerned about 2WD or 4WD - should I be?
I'd prefer PDK
Definitely want the GTS interior pack
I'd prefer PDLS based on what I've read on here - is it worth holding out for one with PDLS

I'm not going to be tracking it and I don't think there's anything else I really want. Am I missing anything obvious?

Thanks in advance.

Great car! My 2 cents:

- Yes prices have jumped considerably since the start of the year across the board. Values on the .2 GTS were always strong anyway. One thing to consider is how the introduction of the new 992 GTS will affect those further down the line, but depends if this bothers you/how long you plan on keeping it. A lot of this is down to the supply issues for new builds which doesn't look likely to ease up until at least next year.

- 2WD vs 4WD - I prefer 4WD in the Cab's but others will definitely argue the other way. I think if the right car comes up, it doesn't really matter!

- PDK is fantastic. If you're not absolutely set on a manual, it's definitely the way to go

- GTS Interior pack in the .2 certainly makes resale easier but again, the experience is about driving

- PDLS - If you live in the countryside, maybe it's worth it but for town or city driving, the standard lights are more than enough. Personally I wouldn't make PDLS a deal breaker.

- Finally, for resale, some would argue you need the centrelocks and Bose. As per above, depends on your intentions for the car.

Centre locks are an absolute given. I mean why wouldn’t you with a GTS!!

Thanks for insight into PDLS. Good to know. I would have thought standard xenons would be good on a Porsche anyway.

Most seem to come with Bose as well so wasn’t too worried about that.

Seems I had covered just about everything anyway then. Now just for the colour….(prefer not black or white!)

Centre locks can be a pain depending on where you live ,I couldn’t get BBC anyone to fit the tyres on the gt3 so ended having to spend a lot more having them fitted at an opc.

I’m in Hampshire so hopefully it wouldn’t cause too much of a problem…

Anyone have a view on this car:

Only reason I ask is that I've been tracking GTS's and most seem to be selling very quickly but this one is keenly priced however it's been on the market for 7+ weeks. Is it because it's not being sold by an OPC? Spec seems good unless I'm missing something.

Leather seat backs but is that a plastic dash and there’s something not quite right about the doors too, well compared to my GTS anyway

Yeah, I'd say the lack of leather dash and non-OPC sale are the only downers. Seems a good deal, warranty could be got for not much money and the pre-requisite 111 point check would provide some reassurance.

Am I right in thinking the GTS Interior pack gives you the leather dash??
