Just out of interest is this longer than normal due to all the car global production issues?

Yes absolutely.

If you can get a new car quickly, it’ll probably represent good value compared to the inflated used prices. This is paradoxical when compared to the normal situation, but so is the perception of new cars.

New used to mean better, whereas now many are not so sure. New cars are increasing having to conform to regulations and older cars can now easily be retrofitted with modern ‘infotainment’ etc.

Who knows where the real value lies?

Personally, I’m becoming increasingly less excited by new models. One exception would be the new Lotus that’s just been launched. The V6 manual has peaked my interest a little.

Electrical conductors I’ve been told the reason mine is delayed.

Just got to run with it I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

Surely if you haven’t ordered one your interest is purely academic…?

For transparency, I Spec’d and ordered my PTS car April, and the car landed Beginning of this Month..

I have heard that delays won’t be getting any better.. thanks that as you find.

Specced and ordered PTS car in May for September delivery. That slipped to November and has slipped again to feb now.

Dealer principle has said they aren’t expecting any let up on current supply issues until Q3 22.

6 months for a PTS Porsche GT3 or not isn’t unusual, my wife’s Boxster which was PTS was seven months I think and that was pre Covid and chip shortages. Mate of mine works for a big UK electronics retailer….on buying side dealing with the likes of Samsung and Apple. Last I spoke to him they were getting no indication of things improving until well into next year so Q3 ‘22 sounds realistic.

There are connector shortage, but the OP most likely means conductors as in semi conductors (computer chips).
