John aka 993rsr kicked our butts and arranged a brilliant gathering at Caffeine and Machine yesterday. 15 cars - an excellent first effort, and I am sure we can increase that next time! Really good to chat with fellow owners and enthusiasts of these special cars.

Looked amazing Andrew.

Do a 996RS meet or 4.0L and I can take part then!

I’ve always found ‘one-make-meets’ a bit ‘best car ever mate’, however, when it is actually a one-make-meet with one of the greatest cars ever, it is quite the sight!

Any unusual colour combinations or interesting factory differences spotted? Have owners been tempted by modifications, other than paint & modern rubber?

There will be a “mezger meet-up “ - you can bring both then…

Or in the alternative.

No right or wrong answer, just personal choices and neither owner will be able to take it with them.frown

The second picture is exactly what I imagine heaven to be alike. Perfect environment to enjoy a CGT.

Answers the question fairly well;
‘One car, one road, last tank of gas...’

Good to meet you on Sunday!

Totally agree using these cars in the mountain passes is worth more than money!

Great morning at C&M great owners and certainly the start of more GT get togethers.

Annoyingly I’m having to work hard to catch Lowndes;

Susten Pass out of Meiringen heading for Andermatt. Can be combined with the Furka and Grimsel to make a fine circuit but tends to be popular so avoid at week ends. A neighbour of ours in Switzerland suggested Monday morning was the best time because the police were all busy in the office writing tickets for weekend speeders.

Other options out of Andermatt take the Oberalp heading for the Albula Pass and Passo Giovo; or turn left at Wassen and down the valley to the Klausen Pass.

This. Very, very well spent.

I looked fairly closely at buying one beginning of last year and felt the market was a bit frothy for them.....got that wrong ! At the time I think DK had 3 or 4 cars they were "in touch with". Not at the moment they don't...
