Within the BA fleet do all the neos have the bloody awful Ryanair/Easyjet fixed seating?

I dont mind flying BA but i am buggered if i am to pay BA prices for budget airline seats, in which case i shall save my cash and go budget, at least i know what i am getting

You'll be surprised by BA pricing when you look elsewhere. Most of the 'budget' airlines are not really 'budget' at all. I costed some flights recently for my family - to the same destination Easyjet & BA worked out to effectively the same price.

I just flew to France and back on an Easyjet Neo and I was surprised at how roomy and comfy the seats and in fact the entire cabin was.

It was so quiet too, it was the first flight my son's were ever on and I was expecting our more anxious one to freak out at the sound of the engines spooling up for take off but you could barely hear them. He did enjoy the pure acceleration as we barrelled down the runway before asking for his iPad to watch Star Wars as we passed through the clouds.

They are great aircraft and much better than the older A320s or 737s.

Yes the fixed seats are a bit upright but honestly I think that its fine for a 2-3 hour flight. Most short haul carriers seem to be going this route.

The main thing is to make sure you have extra leg room seats if at all possible unless you are particularly short as the normal seats are very tightly packed.

As far as I can tell, there are two types of seat on the BA Airbus neo aircraft.

On the A320N, rows 1-12 are Pinnacle seats and rows 13 onwards are Recaro. All have USB power but the Pinnacle seats also have universal power outlets. On the A321N, the layout is 1-14 and 15 onwards.

Extra legroom seats are in row 1 or around the exits - rows 1,11 and 12 on the A320N and 1, 16 and 26 on the A321N. Some seats around the exit rows might not recline.
