Updated pcm mapping 3.41 2013 991.1

Hi guys
I’m thinking of updating the maps on my PCM System 3.41 and apparently it can be done to 3.42 which gives 2021 maps plus more POI I have full post code facility already.
For a supply and fit price of £285 inc vat at my local OPC .
The question has anyone updated the mapping and was it worthwhile?
I know I can use Waze on my phone but it’s hard to see the complete route and I don’t want to have the alternative option of a 1/3 party mod as the car is under extended warranty!
This was brought to light on our trip to Italy recently and how much out of date the maps are!
